I have been wanting to run the Ragnar Relay for quite a while now. It can be expensive and a lot of planning but SO worth it! This year, Corb was on the team with my mother-in-love and he ended up not being able to go so I jumped in his place!!! I was SO excited and grateful to take his spot. :)
I slept over at Mcats house on Thursday night. Went to bed around 11-12pm, although I couldn't sleep I was so excited. We woke up at 3:30-4am? to get ready and go. We picked up some team mates on the way to meet the rest of the team. From there, we all packed into two vans and off we went!!
Early morn' .. sending off the first runner in team 1.
While we waited for team 1 to run their legs, we went for some yummy breakfast!
This was SO good.
I'm ready to tackle my first leg!
Off I went! I was able to crush goals on this leg, felt so good!
A team mate ran through the pouring rain and mud!!
Mcat after her first leg! She's speedy:)
We all had our names on the van
Ready to go at midnight with a few hours of sleep for 2 days!
Dark canyon road
Finished! It was a hard and challenging leg. I felt like I was running up the mountain for miles and miles but I just kept pushing. When I got to the top and to my finish line, I wanted to keep going! Running at night is so peaceful and refreshing.
I think I got a couple hours of sleep by my 3rd leg! I was a bit slower than usual but I was okay with it. I was excited to run but my body was tired! It was a good last run:) It was a good feeling to be done!
MCat running up Ragnar Hill... the hardest leg. Although the picture doesn't show the steep hill! She killed it!
Beautiful view!
She did it! (of course:)
Found a friend and jumped on their van!
My total roadkills. (How many people I passed up during my legs)
THE FINISH!:)
YAY
Some running charms I bought at a booth:)
The end result of the feet. Throughout the race, I think I counted up to 9 blisters. They are champs.
Ragnar was so much fun. I can't wait to go again!!!

Our team captain is an attorney. He gave us tech shirts to wear to rep his company and on them is a printed tie in the front! (What the skelly is wearing) His team has been called Legally Dead for years! Such a great idea.
I'm ready to tackle my first leg!
I was runner number 7 (fairly easy legs compared to others!). The first runner out for team 2.
Off I went! I was able to crush goals on this leg, felt so good!

While the other team took their turn for runs, we tried to get some sleep mid-day!
SO tired but no sleep for me!! It was very frustrating!
This is how we changed lol!
My 2nd Leg.. ended up being about 5 miles, not 3.60! Loved it!!
